T1 batch filing through the EFILE Online Plus system

I received an email from the Canada Revenue Agency stating that T1 batch filing through EFILE Online Plus will no longer be possible. How does this impact me?

Any modifications to the program will be handled at the back end so that you may continue working just as you did in prior years. In effect, the EFILE Online method will simulate the batch process of transmission, thereby allowing you to continue marking and transmitting numerous returns at once. After transmitting one or more returns, the Client List will continue to display any accepted or rejected returns, the applicable keywords will continue to be updated, and an acknowledgement report will be generated for each return being transmitted.

Unlike EFILE Online Plus, EFILE Online offers an instantaneous acknowledgement report, which will lead to an even more efficient and effective process.

Please note that as a result of the discontinuity of EFILE Online Plus, the stockpiling process has been eliminated. The CRA will begin accepting and processing EFILE Online transmissions on February 10, 2014.
